A Lesson from Denmark?

So let me get this straight. We kick two women out of the hallowed halls of Congress at one of the greatest symbolic assemblages there for wearing T-shirts, one protesting the war and one for supporting the troops (hey, Democrats, get down with this: perhaps you should get it out there that supporting our troops *is* getting them the hell outa that political and military quagmire). While the Danish press is the new world leader for freedom of speech (even if it was offensive). Strange... but what isn't these days.

Lucinda is the best songwriter currently writing, period.

Oh congress.

btw, from what I've heard of Lucinda, she is excellent. You might also like Jenny Lewis' solo album. A friend of mine burned it for me and it is quite good, apparently she has been likened to Lucinda in some reviews.

It's not Congress. It's K Street lobbyists, its an out-of-control president, it's the weak-kneed Democrats who can't find the same page, and the completely corrupt and absolutely disgusting Republicans, and its an American electorate that is all me me me, don't give a shit, who don't have a clue what really makes us Americans. Oh yeah, the press that was all over Clinton for what turned out to be NOTHING (cause they all went to J-school cause of Watergate, and their careers were getting on with no big takedown and they were hungry and then they failed, and now they just want to survive until retirement), where dubbya will have three more years to bring us down.

No one else is like Lucinda (except Steve). You say here solo album, was she with a band?

She's not like Lucinda per say but the review in Rolling Stone said "Her girlishly seductive vocals are more seductive than ever; she sounds like Lucinda Williams' clean-living littke sis on the full-moon ballad "Happy."
She is the lead singer for Rilo Kiley, which incidently I have been meaning to lend you also.

Guess I'll have to give her another shot. I heard one album and just liked one song. But I did like that one song!
