Hard to summarize. I'm Online Content Coordinator for a major healthcare institution; before that I was webmaster at WGRZ-TV Ch. 2 in Buffalo, NY; various editorial and web positions before that; I love good rock (which is usually but not always at least 30 years old); good country (the kind you won't see at the CMA Awards); I write songs, have written and published a book of short fiction; I have a place on a lake in northern Wisconsin (I was born in Milwaukee); I love hefe weizen beer (unfiltered wheat), Steve Earle and Lucinda Williams; deceased gods include Hank Williams Sr. (Jr.? whaddya kidding?), Gram Parsons, and Townes Van Zandt (strangely, all died young of substance abuse). The pic and page title are Towne's; lots of great quotes of Townes in conversation including: "Aloneness is a state of being, whereas loneliness is a state of feeling. It's like the difference between being broke and being poor." And, "There's only two kinds of music: the blues and zippity-do-da." Steve Earle offered to "stand on Bob Dylan's coffee table in my cowboy boots" to declare him the world's greatest songwriter. (Don't know if I'd go quite that far.)
